Romanian cable looks to consolidate

The leading players in the Romanian cable market are RCS/RDS and UPC, with 1.4 million and 1.1 million subscribers respectively, while DCS, which is backed by AIG, has over 200,000.
DCS, which has projected revenue growth of 10% in TV services and 30% in internet for this year, expects to be actively engaged in acquisitions this year. ''
