BBC Prime leaves Swedish DTT
By Julian Clover | December 4, 2008
BBC Prime has left the Swedish DTT network and the pay-TV platform Boxer. It follows the December 1 reorganisation of BBC Worldwide’s entertainment line-up.
On satellite 13-year old BBC Prime has been replaced by BBC Entertainment, BBC Lifestyle, BBC Knowledge and BBC HD. However, BBC Worldwide has signed an exclusive agreement for the new channels in the Nordic region with Canal Digital, covering both satellite and DTT.
A spokeswoman for BBC Worldwide told Broadband TV News that it was looking to replace BBC Prime with BBC World News, subject to licence approval.
