Yes with kernel 2.6.29 I have activated KEXEC support for Sigma 8634 and now it is possible to boot official FW from USB, anyway telesat should unswer that if AzUP can be point on what USB port to install, but booting from USB1/USB2 can be done for official FW.
You can install first on USB1 port and then to attach to USB2 port , heheheheh. this way it will work for shure
New ver. RC5
Changes in kernel - necessarily to write kernel (check 'copy kernel' in azup),
ofcourse it is necessary only one time

In my Elite, I was running Official Firmware, then I put on my usb pendriver first RC4 patch.bin . I followed normal USB Update from screen, then I got rescue mode, and I remove my USB pen driver. I started AzUP 2.0.0. , I pressed flash E2 ( copy kernel and format extended partition is checked !!! ) , I browse for patch.e2 and all was successfully flashed.
After I booted first time in E2, I press Go ! for Official Firmware Install process, then box rebooted in Rescue mode, I put there USB pendrive, and pressed again Go! below Official Firmware, and pointed to vmlinux and second file used from FW4USB folder. So when it was installed, no problem, AzBox booted in Official firmware, then I turned off STB, removed USB and my STB booted in RC5, again i turned of STB, then I placed in usb port USB pendrive on which i installed Official Firmware, I powered STB and it booted directly in Official firmware.
