    India Reaches 1 Billion Mobile Subscribers

    India now has more than a billion mobile subscribers and the country's largest carrier, Bharti Airtel, has more than 200 million. A statement from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India says the one billion mark was crossed in October, with a 0.7% increase in subscribers.
