Arte testing Ultra HD with Europe-wide live broadcast

On Saturday, 2 April 2016 ARTE is testing the first time on multiple output channels, the Ultra HD format 2160p50. The appropriate occasion for offers from 19:00 to 22:00, the transmission of classical ballet "Le Corsaire", the new production is at the Vienna State Opera program since 20 March.

ARTE Concert will provide the ballet beyond as HD live stream online at concert.arte.tv. Furthermore ARTE will test the UHD live streaming on the ARTE HbbTV app (in partnership with the IRT in Munich). A few days later, the program is also available there for several weeks as a catch-up offer.
